From April 2022- May 2023 with support of our fellow unionists, Fordham Graduate Student Workers-Communications Workers of America (FGSW-CWA) fought for our first contract.

Through our union, we fought to ensure fair, safe, and humane working conditions so that we can effectively educate students and do our part to realize Fordham’s Jesuit mission.

We will begin bargaining for our second contract in 2027 and are working to mobilize Graduate Student Workers at Fordham to fight for…

• To raise our pay, which is currently below a living wage in NYC.
• To improve health insurance that includes vision coverage.
• To ensure reasonable accommodations and paid leave for those of us who are parents and caretakers and establish a fund to subsidize childcare.
